Congrats on becoming a new Privateer, and enrolling at UNO for Fall 2021!
Stay tuned for upcoming dates being announced for Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 Freshman and Transfer students.
*Due to the rapid changes with the Covid-19 pandemic, and in accordance with the guidelines set by the state of Louisiana, and city of New Orleans, we will be hosting this event virtually.
Two part multi-day format:
Before your virtual orientation date, your Academic Advisor will contact you to set up an advising appointment. During this appointment, your Advisor will help you create your Fall course schedule and give you instructions on how to register for your courses on your own. Please make sure you have set-up your UNO username and password if you haven't already.
Your Privateer orientation will be taking place on zoom from 11am-1pm CST. During this virtual session, you will have another chance to talk with your Advisor, as well as learn about the process of switching or dropping courses, and meet with our UNO Orientation Leaders & New Student Experience staff for a detailed presentation about UNO campus resources.

- To-Do List– Before You Meet Your Academic Advisor
- Check your email for a message from your Academic Advisor to set up a virtual advising appointment (this gets sent to your personal and UNO email accounts)
- Apply for Housing, or submit housing exemption form
- Send final transcripts (if applicable), or test scores to transcripts@uno.edu
- To-Do List– After Meeting With Your Academic Advisor
- Attend the virtual event you registered for. Details for the zoom meeting will be sent out one week before the event.
